Having a Greek heritage Leo has always been around food. When he was younger it was always very important to sit down at the dinner table with the whole family. He started his career working in the family Fish & Chip shop, soon realising how he wanted to progress and become a Chef.
He studied at University College Birmingham after leaving school and this is where he began his career at Simpsons of Edgbaston Restaurant. At the age of 16 he completed a months work placement at Simpsons and was lucky enough to be offered a part time job. Working his way through the ranks from Commis through to his current position as Senior Sous.
Leo is no stranger to competitions having taken part in The British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year, whilst in 2017 he competed in MasterChef The Professionals reaching the Semi-Finals.
