Luke Tipping, renowned chef director of Michelin star Simpsons returns to Lichfield for another fine dining Sauce Supper Club experience

As the chef director of one of Birmingham’s top culinary destination restaurants, we are excited to once again welcome Luke and his team to Lichfield. This time he will be showcasing his skills at the open style kitchen of The Boat Inn where guests can see the team at work.
Luke is one of Sauce Supper Club’s champions and loves to work in a different environment, with new diners, providing a creative outlet for his ideas and inspirational cooking. Luke describes his style as ‘very natural, very seasonal and free flowing’, which belies the creativity and thoughtfulness that goes into his cooking. His success at Simpsons, where he has held a Michelin star since 2000, truly speaks for itself. He is now a professor of culinary arts, having received a professorship from University College Birmingham.
Simpsons has been at the forefront of Birmingham’s fine dining scene for well over a decade, recently being named in the Sunday Times top 100 restaurants in the UK – why not experience it in Lichfield at our extra special pop up event?
Chef’s Table… is an exciting opportunity for you to enjoy a VIP experience at our pop-up restaurant. Seated just off the pass, you’ll be in amongst the action and receive personal attention from our chefs. Spaces for this are obviously limited for each of our evenings.
The menu… Some Supper Club Members prefer not to see the menu before the evening, however if you would prefer to see it please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy!
As a Supper Club we seat guests together to make up larger tables and therefore smaller parties may be seated with other like minded foodies. In some circumstance we are able to split tables but we cannot guarantee this – please add a note to your booking if you prefer to be seated as per your booking.
