Maria Bradford is a proud Sierra Leonean. She grew up in Freetown, and like many African children she started helping her mother prepare family meals from about nine years of age. Now based in the South of England with her husband and two children, Maria run’s Maria Bradford Kitchen.
Inspired be her Sierra Leonean heritage, she reinvents traditional African dishes, using quality ingredients to create high end Afro-fusion cuisine.
Having founded Maria Bradford Kitchen in 2017 she’s rapidly becoming an Instagram sensation and a hit with the continent’s movers and shakers. She’s an underground Chef, and no stranger to the London supper club scene. Currently studying at the world renowned, Leith’s school for food and wine, Maria is a rising star. An underground Chef who’s rapidly becoming an ambassador for African ingredients, traditional African dishes and Afro-fusion cuisine, all inspired her Sierra Leonean heritage.
Africa is often thought of at the final frontier of food, and her food will take your taste buds on an adventure. Over the past few years Maria has developed a product range of African inspired mixers for cocktails and mocktails available via her online shop. She’s well known by chilli lovers for her two sauces “Salone spark” and “Salone Fire”, which is not for the faint hearted! Over the past couple of years she’s been catering for some high profile corporate events and weddings in several African countries and the UK.
