After finishing his degree at the globally revered College of Food, Birmingham, Liam cut his teeth under culinary genius, Marcus Wareing, at The Berkeley, London.

This kicked-started a decade of posts at top international venues including Quay Restaurant (Sydney), Eleven Madison Park (New York), Lepuisette (Marseilles), and two Michelin star, three time Best Restaurant in the World winner Noma (Copenhagen).

Closer to home Liam has mastered his craft at La Becasse, Ludlow, under the esteemed tenure of Will Holland and Five Fields in Chelsea before perhaps his most valuable posting at Tom Sellers’ Restaurant Story on London’s Southbank. After over a year at Story Liam was asked to help open Toms second venture as sous chef at The Lickfold Inn, West Sussex.

Liam has been at The Boat for just 9 months and has recently completed phase 1 of a planned major refurbishment. He is one step closer to realising his dream of transforming it to a destination venue. The Boat was included in the Michelin Guide this year and the future is looking bright for Liam and his team.
